Core Responsibilities

• Process Development: Responsible for testing and developing new AM technologies and processes by conduct methodical experiments to analyze and determine technology capabilities.
• Scouting & Research: Drive scouting, research, and proof of concepts of AM technologies, materials, and processes to stay updated on the latest advancements and continuously support our AM activities.
• Collaboration & Communication: Ensure the collaboration of multi-functional teams, including engineers, data scientists, materials scientists, and manufacturing technicians, and provide scientifically sound data to our partners and internal collaborators to develop additive manufacturing solutions.
• Documentation & Implementation: Manage the documentation of processes, procedures, and outcomes for information sharing and future reference to ensure a successful handover to the team’s leading maturing and scaling.
• Capabilities Building: Engage in building capabilities within the LEGO Group to develop and enhance AM skills, knowledge, and expertise to expand our AM program and meeting organizational goals.
• Build Development: Support the development of build jobs for our AM technologies to investigate and develop AM technologies, materials, and processes towards sufficient part quality.

Additive Design & Manufacturing (AD&M) is developing and maturing Additive Manufacturing (AM) technologies in the LEGO Group. We are focusing on the research and development of design methodologies and technologies, production technologies, materials, and applications. The department is mainly focusing on polymer AM production for different applications in close collaboration with different partners. The aim is pushing and driving the AM industry and its technologies towards true large-scale manufacturing.

You will join our AD&M Innovation & Technology Development team, which involves working with Additive Manufacturing technologies and processes on various readiness levels. These include scouting of new, emerging AM technologies, experiments with Proof of Concepts to demonstrate its technical feasibility, up to validating and demonstrating the technology’s capability, benefits, and performance under representative conditions in a relevant environment. You will conduct thorough assessments, analyses, and validation studies to understand the technical capabilities, performance, and potential limitations of the technology.

Do you have what it takes?

• Min 3 years of experience in the field of Additive Manufacturing
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze, understand and illustrate data.
• Problem-solving skills to solve technical issues, identify root causes of problems and propose effective solutions.
• Ability to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
• Dedicated, take initiative and being proactive.
• Excellent communication, structure, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in English both verbally and written.
