Senior Application Engineer – Additive Manufacturing Equipment Development Full Time

Core Responsibilities 
As Senior Application Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering production build jobs for our AM Equipment Program. More specifically, you will:

• Ensure the quality of AM produced parts through testing and data analysis
• Develop and standardize our AM workflow and its integration to other LEGO® processes
• Build capabilities within design for additive manufacturing (DfAM) and AM in the LEGO Group to expand our AM program further
• Collaborate with LEGO® stakeholders and teams to secure and improve part quality
• Mature and scale our production platform focusing on throughput and productivity
• Support the exploration and implementation of new software tools to improve and automate processes throughout the AM value chain

Additive Design & Manufacturing (AD&M) is developing and maturing AM technologies in the LEGO Group. The department is focusing on the research and development of design methodologies and technologies, production technologies, materials and applications. The department is mainly focusing on polymer AM production for different applications in close collaboration with stakeholders. The aim is pushing and driving the AM industry and its technologies towards true large-scale manufacturing.

You will join our AD&M Equipment Development team, which is focusing on how we utilize AM for various internal application like jigs and fixtures. You will be working closely together with our key partners to ensure delivery of the selected application within the right specifications and requirements. In this role, you are crucial to ensuring high quality output from our chosen technologies, taking over from our R&D Teams fine-tuning and bringing the technology to the next level.

Do you have what it takes?

You are proactive and take initiative, while being able to work in a fast-growing and challenging environment. Furthermore, you have:

• 3+ years of experience working within Additive Manufacturing
• Experience with Build Preparation Software such as Materialise Magics
• Strong CAD skills
• Experience working with maturing parts using DFM methodologies
• Knowledge about polymer AM technologies
• Strong analytical skills in analyzing and understanding data
• Proficiency in English
